People in the neighborhood listened to some of Firefall’s greatest hits as the Festival at Sandpoint kicked off the 2009 season within blocks of several barbecues.
Homeowners continue to say “Goodbye, I Love You” to their homes and businesses as Sandpoint foreclosures appear on lengthy auction lists.
It’s so frustrating to know that billions of dollars went to wall street and banks to help people modify their payments and keep their homes yet Sandpoint foreclosures are the talk of the town.
A Deutsche Bank analysis estimate 25 million borrowers will owe more than their home is worth by 2011. The Treasury Department said only 9% of eligible home owners have been helped with loan modification programs. Bank of America and Wells Fargo were singled out as among the least willing to assist upside down sellers. How many Sandpoint foreclosures are at those banks here in town?
The promised help has not arrived, short sales are delayed for months, fraud, bad information, and flat out lies are preventing or slowing solutions to Sandpoint foreclosures. Investors can be part of the solution by partnering with a knowledgeable Sandpoint Realtor.
The programs to provide relief along with the banks, title companies, and real estate community are mostly hard at work to stem Sandpoint foreclosures.
