If Life Gives You Lemons – Squirt the Juice in Your Enemy’s Eye
Life quote on Facebook was “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. My old
response would have been: “I don’t think so” or “guess again”.
If life gives you lemons, grill some salmon and peel some shrimp. Dribble the lemon juice on that delicious duo and find something more appropriate to drink than juice.
In the world of Sandpoint foreclosures there aren’t too many people celebrating with seafood. Everyone is downsizing, budget-cutting, and conserving. The shrimp and salmon have been traded for beans and weenies.
Sandpoint foreclosures will not vanish. Homes in Sandpoint will continue to be auctioned or taken back by the mortgage lenders. The number of vacancies will grow due to the number of Sandpoint foreclosures.
Sandpoint foreclosures in 2010 will include more commercial properties. Banks are stil
l not loaning money to businesses that have orders. Typically, the business borrows from the bank, creates the widget and is paid for the widgets.
Then they pay back the bank, pay bills, advertise for more sales and repeat the cycle. These businesses have been separated from their cycle by the economy.
Sure, loans are at rock bottom prices. You can get one with nearly perfect credit and tons of documents. Otherwise, as Tony Soprano would say, “forgetaboutit”.
I am not looking forward to the Sandpoint foreclosures scene of 2010. I am going to keep doing all that I can to be prepared to help you. You must make a decision to prepare yourself today.
Sellers will continue to need assistance in formulating a checklist of actions they can take to avoid foreclosure or what moves to make if they are already in the foreclosure pipeline.
Buyers will continue to need assistance gathering all the documents necessary to make wise choices while they are bargain hunting. Sandpoint foreclosures include properties that will undoubtedly be sold at deep discounts.
Where will help come from and who will lead the rescue?
