“Operation Loan Lies” Snags Apply2Save Scammers
Lawrence Wasden, Idaho Attorney General, is marking success with his Operation Loan Lies efforts that is part of a national investigation of foreclosure rescue companies.
The former VP of Sales for Apply 2 Save, a mortgage modification company just 45 miles south of Sandpoint in Coeur d Alene, Idaho paid the Gem State $50,000 as part of a settlement agreement with the AG’s office.
The Attorney General received about 400 complaints against Apply 2 Save in less than 10 months. Those complaints came from all but three states and AG Wasden believes that thousands of mortgage loan modification victims still do not know that Apply 2 Save has closed or may just not have filed a 
grievance.
