At 16 my 2 girls would captain inner tubes on Lake Pend Oreille. They generally had many young men volunteering to help maneuver and propel the inner tubes for yards at a time.

At 16 , Jessica Watson is sailing around the world.  Jessica, a 16-year old Aussie took her Mary Kay cosmetic colored yacht out of Sydney Harbor today.  No young men assisting her as she leaves on a 23,600 mile trip around the world expected to take about 8 months.
