A Gun Shot in the Night

It did not come from one of Sandpoint foreclosures.  The gun shot blasted a hole in the middle of the night across from a popular downtown office.  A guy took a shot at one of the guests in his tiny apartment and missed.  People in Sandpoint homes were safe.

It’s like billions of dollars, thousands of banks/mortgage servicers, and hundreds of programs being aimed at homeowners to provide foreclosure relief – and missed.  People in Sandpoint foreclosures are not safe.

Where are the Buyers? A look at Sandpoint property shows many Sandpoint homes for sale, Sandpoint foreclosures, and Sandpoint homes being sold by the owners.

Buyers have wide selection, low prices, low loan rates; but really strict loan qualifications keep them from the closing table.   Now, good news. The old FHA 203(k) loan is picking up traction.  The loan that allows you to buy and fix up a home.

The FHA 203(k) is a great way to eliminate Sandpoint foreclosures, upgrade the neighborhood, and allow some people access to an area they might not be able to afford otherwise.  A bit more paperwork but worth it in the long run.
