One couple living in Sandpoint foreclosures surprised their neighbors at yesterday’s barbeque by announcing their plans to attend a seminar next Tuesday about starting their own business.

Panhandle State Bank (PSB) is sponsoring the workshops.   North Idaho College’s (NIC) Small Business Development Center provides the instructors.   The calendar of topics culminates in December with “Planning for Success”.

Anne and Bob are participating in PSB’s Powered by Community program that Curt Hecker, President and CEO, IMCB presented to the region this year.   The program is not directed specifically at folks in Sandpoint foreclosures.

As Curt explains in the video, it is designed to partner with efforts to develop jobs, provide training & education, affordable housing and sustain social programs.   Sandpoint foreclosures may mean the loss of a home.
